I have met some opposition today but in spite of it all I am in high spirits.
For those who know- when opposition comes in high forms it’s usually forces trying to prevent something. Well let me tell you I have had HELL trying to get my test today.

First I was late for my doctor’s appointment- I was up at 530this morning because I couldn’t sleep- there is NO REASON I should have been late- but however the laws were working and I was late. There is a 15minute grace period I made it in 13.
Next I didn’t get to see my doctor I saw someone who was filling in for her and OH MY F*&^%&( goodness this lady was a mess. When she walked in the room I was like OH GOD THIS IS GOING TO BE A BATTLE. She didn’t want to give me the test- told me their lab doesn’t do it and suggested I do the HerpeSelect test. So I politely informed her I understand the lab here doesn’t do it- however QUEST does and all I need is for you to write the order. I told her I had the print out but she didn’t want to see them J so she said that’s ok I will talk to the LAB. She went to the lab and came back in and tried again to tell me I couldn’t get the test because they don’t offer it at the clinic etc. Then she proceeds to tell me she doesn’t know how I am going to get from Quest. She mentioned that the clinic routinely sends out labs to other vendors but she’s never had this encounter before because usually people just take the HerpeSelect test. I looked at her with my BITCH DON’T FUCK WITH ME LOOK- and I told her- well I was under the impression that all I needed was an order from a doctor to take to Quest and they will take care of it. She gave up then and confessed that she could write me a script for it- I got nice then and thanked her.
So leaving my doctor racing to get to quest there’s 2 close to my job.. racing against the clock- because quest goes to lunch at 12 and I wanted to get it done before 12 so I could eat some carbs for lunch LOL. Made it to quest- found out the test is only 140 bucks insurance will cover most of it but another problem. The doc didn’t include a testing diagnosis on the script so the lab can’t do it without that reason. I had 2 minutes before they closed for lunch- quest called me doctors office left a message to try to get the info.

On my way out the door my doc’s office called back but didn’t leave a voicemail message LOL. I could relate to quest wanting to eat so I didn’t put up a fight I told them I would leave and come back.


So I planned to eat carbs after my test- but that plan has changed. I am going to get me a steak burger WITH THE BREAD- Onion Rings with the BREAD and a Pepsi with the CAFFEINE.

I will deal with my test after lunch and I am confident by the end of the day I will have my test done.

Again this is frustrating but I am smiling on the inside because this has to been good results on the other side. Either way I press on

AFTER LUNCH Ok people so the drama continued.

Before I ate lunch- WHICH WAS TOO DAMN GOOD I MIGHT ADD I called my doctors office and left a message. After lunch I called Quest and the lady N- informed me they hadn’t called her back. Shortly after I got a call from my doctors office and they informed me they did call quest and leave the missing information on voice mail. I laughed and asked them to leave it again- I informed the nurse that it was lunch time and I am almost certain she deleted the message so they could get to lunch. So the docs office called back to quest- 4 minutes later Quest called me had all the information they needed and told me to come back in to get my blood drawn.

Quest is literally 6 blocks away from my job- so me and my getting to work at noon- still taking an hour lunch self jump I my car around 240 to head to Quest. I pull up at Quest and my calendar alarm go off- oh S&^% I forgot about our MANDATORY DEPARTMENT MEETING AAT 3PM. I have a moral dilemma- go to quest or go back to work. I decided I wanted to go to quest because N is leaving at 330 and she has all the information and I didn’t want to risk having to talk to someone else. So Im rushing get to quest and someone NEW is at the front desk. I take a deep breath- proceed with my script and the FIRST THING out my mouth was I talked to N already- she has all the missing information. The lady nods- look at my information and just like I anticipated she says- do you have additional information- this isn’t complete. Again my BITCH DON’T FUCK WITH ME FACE- I just holler out the name N-N_N- three times- and informed her yet again N already has the information. N walks up obviously she heard me yelling her damn name and proceeds to take over and direct the lady.

So I am sitting down filling out the paper work and I hear them talk shyt about the test and about how the script wasn’t complete- Im like OMFG can we just please draw blood already. So N goes and gets the Quest book and I already know she is looking up the test- I pull out my print out from my purse because I knew I might need to tell them what to do. She asks the other lady if she knew about the test and she looked it up in the computer and came out with the information. So finally they call me back and I am sitting in the chair. Looking at the clock because I want to at least try to get back to my department meeting and this lady proceeds to input me into the computer. Now I am a tech and it was PAINFUL TO WATCH her input that stuff into the computer. She kept making mistakes- I told her no you need to click here- no you need to type that LOL. Then the other lady came in and assisted her. I was sitting in the chair for a good 15minutes while she typed in information and Im thinking to myself GEEZ- what else can happen today. So right on QUEUE- more drama. They had a problem adding my doctor to their system it just wouldn’t save. They didn’t feel comfortable with me trying to fix it (I wonder why : ) so they ended up having to do the test manually. Meaning paper submissions- and not an electronic. I asked would it delay it- I was informed no. So this time next week hopefully I would have some good results.

On the way abck to work- I stopped to get ice cream. I saw the meeting had ended after 15minutes so there was no need to rush.

Sorry to be so long winded but I just had to tell about my day today. I am still HAPPY I finally got it done though.
